Cheryl helps clients better understand what has been shaping their experiences, develop practical ways to respond differently, and have more choice in what happens next.

Do you offer after work or late evening therapy appointments?1

Yes. I offer telehealth appointments throughout the day and evening, with regular appointment times as late as 9:45 p.m.

Late evening appointments can be especially useful if work, caregiving responsibilities, or other commitments make it difficult to schedule therapy during typical business hours.

I currently offer a limited number of telehealth appointments on Sundays for clients in Washington DC and Virginia. Weekend appointments tend to be popular, so you’re welcome to ask about current or upcoming openings when you contact me.

The free consultation is a 10–15 minute phone conversation that gives you a chance to get a feel for what it might be like to work with me.

You can tell me in general terms what is bringing you to therapy, and I can answer questions about my experience and how I typically approach the concerns you’re describing. Because I can’t discuss clinical information outside of a scheduled therapy session, we’ll keep the consultation focused on what brings you to therapy and any questions you have about working with me.

The consultation also gives us a chance to talk about whether working together seems like a good fit. If another therapist or resource seems better suited to what you’re looking for, I’m happy to offer suggestions when I can. My goal is for you to find a therapist who is a good fit for what you need.

I’m an out of network provider and don’t participate directly with insurance companies. If your plan includes out of network mental health benefits, you may be reimbursed for a portion of the cost of therapy.

I’m also a TRICARE certified provider for clients using applicable TRICARE out of network benefits.

You can learn more about my session fee, checking your benefits, and reimbursement on my Costs & Insurance page.

Yes. My online inquiry form is provided through SimplePractice, a HIPAA compliant platform designed for healthcare practices. Information submitted through the form goes directly into my SimplePractice account.

After I get your message, you can expect to hear back from me within one business day. And if you prefer, you can also reach out by text, phone, or email.
